During the Annual General Meeting of Transparency International in Berlin in 2005, he was elected as a Member of the Board of Directors of Transparency and was subsequently re-elected in 2008. He was also nominated as a Chairman of the International Board Audit Committee.
He was a founding member and Chairman of the Lebanese Chapter of Transparency International (LTA) as well as the Institute of Directors (IOD). While serving within this capacity, he contributed to the publication of the first Lebanese Code of Corporate Governance, as well as the Corporate Governance Guidelines for Arab Banks (published by the Union of Arab Banks) and the Corporate Governance Codes for listed and family owned companies.
Mr. Zovighian’s contributions to Lebanon’s financial sector are well-appreciated and acknowledged by industry experts and analysts.
With the zeal to enhance and drive global Auditory and Accounting practice, he founded FMO Fiduciaire du Moyen Orient in 1978.
